Remote Session Requirements
In order to partake in an online session, you will need the following:
- You will need to have indicated on the the order confirmation that you want to book an online session.
- A medium to strong internet connection, with an upload and download speed of at least 1Mbps (test your internet speed here).
- Download the Zoom application.
- A laptop or PC (mobile phones or tablets don’t work well).
- If you are not using Google Chrome (for both Windows and MacOSX), please install it before your session, here is the link.
TIPS TO ENHANCE YOUR ONLINE THERAPY EXPERIENCE:
- PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL RUNNING APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED.
- Is your Windows/ MacOSX operatng software updated to its latest version?
- If you are not using Google Chrome (for both Windows and MacOSX), please install it before your session, here is the link.
- Please set Google Chrome as your default browser. The reason for this is because Google Chrome's audio codec is the most advanced compared to other browsers. For help to do this on a Windows machine, click here. For help to do this on an Apple machine, please click here.
- If you already have Google Chrome installed on your system and it is your default browser, please ensure that it is updated to its latest version. If you don't know how to check this, follow instructions here.
- Please clear Google Chrome’s cache before your session, click here for instructions on how to do this.
- If you have ear/headphones (without a microphone attached), please keep them close in case you will need them.
Under what time zone does Dr. Roets consult?
Dr Roets' practice operates in the (GMT +02:00) South Africa time zone. Prior to booking an online consultation session, please find your corresponding time zone by clicking here that corresponds to the time slots available, if you are situated abroad.
PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Roets' practice is one that works with people, and from time to time she does run late or over the current consultation session time. Please allow for a 15 minute time window when waiting for your online session to start. The utmost care is taken to prevent running over consultation session time, but there is the odd case of an emergency where this does occur.
If Dr. Roets is running late (exceeding 15 minutes), the office administrator will send you an email informing you.
Can I cancel an online consultation booking?
Yes you can. Please follow the procedure outlined in the Refund Policy, located in the footer (at the bottom) of the web page. You can also let the Office Administrator know that you want to cancel your session on +27 66 044 7367, and they will sort out your refund with you.
